Transparency statement
The Red & Blue Brewers’ Series was created with one goal in mind: to bring breweries together in support of a critical cause through a grassroots approach. Inspired by the Kokua Project by Maui Brewing Co., this initiative is built on values of collaboration, action, and inclusivity—and designed to scale impact across the country.
Each participating brewery pledges to donate up to 100% of the profits from their Red & Blue beer sales, based on what they can reasonably commit. This approach is intentional. Rather than requiring a flat donation or a full 100% of gross sales, we’ve chosen to focus on profits, allowing breweries of all sizes and financial realities to participate. Whether a brewery donates 10% or 100% gross sales, every contribution fuels fundraising, awareness, and action.
This inclusive framework also invites widespread participation, ensuring the initiative is open to everyone from small-town microbreweries to nationally recognized brands. By empowering breweries to give what they can, we’re expanding both the reach and resonance of the cause.
But this model does more than raise funds—it builds momentum.
From a marketing perspective, the Red & Blue Brewers’ Series has the potential to offer significant visibility for the cause and its benefactor, the Red & Blue Foundation. Through the authorized use of the “Red & Blue” name and likeness—granted by the Red & Blue Foundation—along with taproom promotions, regional collaborations, launch events, and shared storytelling, this campaign activates a powerful network effect, turning individual brewery efforts into a nationwide platform for awareness. Each beer or cider poured becomes a point of connection and conversation, allowing the Red & Blue Foundation’s mission to be introduced to local patrons, regional distributors, and national media.
This campaign is about more than brewing great beer. It’s about brewing community, amplifying impact, and creating cultural relevance for the Foundation’s work across the country. The message is simple: everyone has something to give, and together we can do something extraordinary.
who we are
The Red & Blue Brewers’ Series is a collaborative fundraising initiative originally organized by ten independent breweries in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and surrounding areas. This initiative is not a nonprofit organization, nor does it claim to operate as one. The purpose of our campaign and this website is solely to provide information about the collaborative effort and to encourage public support for first responders and their families impacted by the Canfield Mountain incident on June 29, 2025.
While the organizers and participating breweries have pledged to donate proceeds from the sale of “Red & Blue” beers to the Red and Blue Foundation of Kootenai County, this campaign is not formally affiliated with or operated by the Foundation. All donations referenced are made independently by each participating brewery to the Foundation’s Canfield Incident Fund, and we encourage anyone wanting to donate directly to do so on the Red and Blue Foundation website.
